§ The last mile

Selling to a hotel is the start.
Getting it used is the work.

Most hospitality companies are drowning in tools that create more friction, not less. A new product has to earn its place on the operation, not only on the contract.

01
A stack of hundreds.

Most systems overlap. None talk to each other properly. Your product is one more to connect.

02
Every property is different.

Shared ops, shared reporting, each property doing things slightly differently.

03
Teams short on time.

Teams already waste time navigating tools instead of serving guests.

§ What we advise on

Hospitality tech advisory,
from inside the operation.

Experience across operations, commercial strategy, RFQ processes, systems architecture, integrations and end-to-end delivery inside hospitality groups. Put to work for your startup.

01

Hotel operations

How properties actually run, department by department, so your product fits the day of the people who will use it.

02

How hotels buy

RFQ processes, vendor selection, who signs off and who uses it. How it works inside hospitality groups.

03

Integrations

Which hotel systems your product has to talk to, and how to connect without becoming another login.

04

Pilots

A first pilot a hotel can say yes to: one property, one problem, real results to back the business case.

05

Rollout

From one property to the rest of the group: training, handover and executive-level alignment.

06

Product & pitch

Your roadmap and your pitch, pressure-tested against what hotel teams actually need.

§ Who it's for

Travel and hospitality
tech startups.

Stage 01

Before the first hotel.

You are shaping the product. Check it against how hotels actually run before you build the wrong thing.

Stage 02

The first hotel customers.

Pilots, RFQs, integrations. Get the first properties live and turn them into references.

Stage 03

Scaling to hotel groups.

Central IT, procurement, InfoSec and legal in play. Rollout across properties without losing the operation.

Fabio Maggioni, Founder

Built at the intersection of hotel operations and technology.

I’ve worked across systems touching every department in a hotel, which means I understand how properties actually run, not just how they’re designed.

Most consultants sit on one side, operations or technology. I work across both. My experience spans operations, commercial strategy, RFQ processes, systems architecture and development, integrations, and end-to-end delivery, from vendor selection through to implementation and executive-level alignment.

Background includes leading hospitality groups such as Belmond, Waldorf Astoria, Hilton and IWG. Now running Hotel Innovation: an independent team focused on building solutions that work in reality, are owned by the teams using them, and deliver impact from day one.

§ FAQ

Questions startups
ask first.

What does a hospitality tech advisor do?

We sit on your side of the table with the hotel’s point of view: how properties actually run, how hotel groups choose vendors, which systems your product has to talk to, and how to design a pilot and a rollout a hotel can say yes to.

Do you write code?

No. This is advice, not development. Your team builds; we help it land in hotels. If a hotel needs hands-on engineering, that is our separate forward deployed engineering service for hotels.

Which startups do you work with?

Travel tech and hospitality tech startups that sell to hotels, resorts and hospitality groups: before the first hotel, with the first hotel customers, or scaling to groups.

How much does it cost?

The intro call is free. Advisory is a fixed number of days at a flat day rate, quoted in writing for a pre-agreed scope before anything starts. No extras, no expenses, no retainer.

Where do you work?

From Milan and London, remote or on-site anywhere. In Italian and English.

building for hotels.

A conversation about your startup.

You walk us through the product and the hotels you sell to. We listen carefully, ask the questions that matter, and come back quickly with an honest read on where we can help. If there’s something to pursue, we schedule a second call.

Before we talk — a few things worth thinking about
  1. Who are your hotel customers today, and who do you want next?
  2. Which hotel systems does your product have to talk to?
  3. Where do deals or pilots get stuck?
  4. Who on the hotel side signs off, and who uses it every day?
  5. What does good, six months from now, look like?
